Students, parents and families, this is where you can find how to communicate with your student's teacher as we start the 2020-2021 school year. Please see below to learn how students can log into Canvas.

Click on the teacher's name to access their weekly class schedule.

Follow Ms. Montes' tutorial on how to get the district KACE software update.

1. Don't shut down the laptop. Keep it on overnight.

2. Make sure to plug in your laptop

3. Click on the "Start" button (left corner)

4. Click on "Settings"

5. Click on "Power & Sleep." Change the "Sleep Mode" for both to "Never"

How to Log Into Canvas, ClassLInk and Zoom
  1. Go to or go to Google and type ClassLink hlpusd and it should be the first one that comes up.
  2. Click on Classlink portal
  3. Enter your child's username and password that has been provided to you. 
  4. You should now be on ClassLink Dashboard, from here you will find the Canvas Icon .canvas logo
     The First time you log on you will be asked to install the ClassLink browser extension-click on install extension, then click add to chrome you will get a notification with an option to add extension click on add extension.
  5. Go back to the ClassLink dashboard tab and click on the Canvas Icon where you should be able to log in once more. Once you are signed in on Canvas look for Courses and click on your respective Teacher's class.

Set Up a Canvas Parent Account

Canvas Parent is designed to provide visibility into your child’s education at a glance. Canvas Parent allows parents to: View assignment descriptions and due dates, Set reminders for assignments, View assignment grades, View course grades, Set grade alerts, View course announcements. Students and teachers will be using Canvas.
