Workman Elementary students have the opportunity to learn fundamentals of Computer Coding as part of their daily curriculum. Through this 21st century literacy, students will develop critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration skills. Our students are learning to code through the use of Scratch, Scratch, Jr. and Lego's.
Students also participate in Project LEAD, which aims to empower students to participate in the democratic process while learning about community and government and being mentored through meaningful participation. LEADers in grade 6 will be attending City Council Meetings with their parents and report to the council on various topics.
